How does it work

You're in a band from wherever playing heavy music. You've been playing a while now and your band is getting great. Reviews of both gigs and recordings are good and what you need now is gigs, loads of them!
You stumble upon some problems getting a lot of gigs:
1) The gigs you play always seem to be in your own or neighbouring cities.
2) The venues where you want to play are not responding.

Our Solution

What you need is a network!
What makes your band interesting is that you do have a one, although it’s local That's exactly what we need, because you can arrange a venue in your city and we can do the same in our city. So, in a nutshell it's a I-scratch-your-back-you-scratch-mine type of thing.

We need bands that:
• are very good
• can make things happen
• have a network, small or large
• are ambitious
• understand that it takes a lot of effort
• have ideas

Sign me up

Your band can be part of the Rising Magma Network and you don't have to be from The Netherlands.

What you've got to do to join our heavy network is:
• let us know you exist by dropping us an e-mail: joost@risingmagma.com
• make sure you include your URL

What we are going to do is:
• check out your band and see if it meets the Rising Magma standard
• drop you an e-mail whether or not your band can join the Rising Magma family

History

Tank86 took the initiative to organise Rising Magma, a brotherhood of heavy bands. It started out when they invited some other bands to play during the release of their new CD “Behold”. They named it Rising Magma Heavy Festival. The first edition of the Rising Magma Heavy Festival was held on January 25th 2008 in Breda, The Netherlands. Since the release party was a success, Rising Magma continued. The number of bands is still growing and so is the number of gigs.
